Hands up if you buy the same article of clothing in multiple colours if you really like it! I’m totally guilty of this. BUT, I think it’s excusable if: a) you LOVE that article of clothing, and b) it’s classic enough to last you for many seasons. If you follow me on Instagram, you saw that I recently committed this crime by buying, not 1, not 2, buy THREE pairs of Steve Madden flats at the same time.

Yet another item, and the subject of this blog post, that I have done this for (and recommend that you do too) is the Babaton Cohen pant from Aritzia.

It’s very rare that I will dedicate an entire style post to just one piece of clothing. And I should mention that this post is 100% NOT sponsored by Aritzia (although, I wish it was). But, these pants, my friends, deserve their own post! I was a bit late to jump on the Babaton Cohen pant bandwagon (and I apologize if you’re already a fan). I bought my first pair in black about a year ago, and now I’m 3 pairs deep (black, olive, and now, tawny). After buying these Babaton Cohen pants recently in tawny, I figured I just had to share why I love them so much!

A few reasons why these are my favourite pair of pants and I think everyone should have a pair of them (they are Aritzia’s best selling pant, so you don’t just have to take my word for it)…

Love the fit of these Babaton cohen pants

Fit

First, the fit of the Babaton Cohen pant is perfect for any height. I’m a mere 5’2” and I especially appreciate a pair of pants that I can wear off the rack, without having to get them hemmed. They are relaxed around the areas we need it most (the hips and thighs) and taper towards the bottom (like pencil pants, but not as tapered).

Second, elastic waistband. ‘Nuff said.

Versatility

This is the biggest selling point for me. These are literally the perfect, most versatile trouser. You can wear with a blazer for a professional look, or with a jean jacket for a casual look. I used to wear these into my law office and then go straight to a blogger event after work, without having to change. They can be worn with flats, with boots, with heels, you name it.

Material

According to Aritzia, they are made from Terado™ – Babaton’s exclusive Japanese fabric that’s matte crepe on one side and smooth satin on the other. I dunno, they just feel damn good on!

Price point

The Babaton Cohen pant comes in at a reasonable $145, which is good for a quality pair of trousers. In one of my previous style posts, I talked about the importance of building your wardrobe on staple pieces. Even if you find $145 to be on the pricier side, know that you’ll get A LOT of use out of them. Definite bang for your buck!

Here, I paired my Cohen pants with a black lace long sleeve top (also from Aritzia), a pair of black sock boots, tassel earrings and a white-washed bucket bag . Full outfit deets are above.

If you buy these pants based on my recommendation, please come back and tell me how much you love them!
