One of my biggest weaknesses is that I cannot resist a good sale! It’s especially hard when I’m subscribed to the mailing list for my favourite retailers and I get daily notifications delivered right to my inbox. Even if I am not in the market for a particular item, I will still take the time to look.
Also, living so close to The Bay’s flagship store at the Eaton Centre and passing by every day on my way home from work makes shopping there a little too convenient. I am actually a very big fan of Hudson’s Bay (where I bought these boots) and am not afraid to admit it. But not all stores are created equal. The selection at The Bay at the Eaton Centre is excellent. With a wide array of low, mid, and high-end brands, it really suits all budgets. Plus, there is no downside risk to buying online because you can return directly to the store without any hassle if something doesn’t fit when it arrives or you change your mind (or get buyer’s remorse!).
So that’s why when I got the notification about a 50% off shoe sale, I had absolutely no reservations about scoping it out and proceeding to buy 3 pairs!
These Sam Edelman Alyssa ankle boots were regularly $210 (which is already a good price, in my opinion) and I managed to snag them for only $105!
They’re black leather with a cushioned insole and 4.3” stiletto heels. Much like my style, they’re simple, classic, and timeless. They can be paired with jeans or leggings for a more casual look, or trousers, a skirt, or a dress for a dressier look. They’re versatile enough to wear in the fall, winter, or spring. I normally have trouble with anything higher than 4 inches, but the small platform makes these very easy to handle and strut around in.
And good news, I just checked back, and it looks like they’re on sale for even less now (link here). So, snatch them up before they’re all gone!
For this look, I’ve paired them with a simple sweater with side slits from Zara (link here), black leggings with faux suede knee patches from H&M, and a camel coat from Zara.
