Blazer: Zara (similar, similar, similar)//Belt: Gucci//Boots: Steve Madden (similar, similar, similar, similar, similar)
One of the hottest trends for fall this year is, no doubt, the plaid blazer. But, if you’re anything like me, you might have been a little reluctant to hop on the plaid blazer trend right away. That’s because the blazers we’ve been seeing this season are oversized and structured, and I’m usually weary when it comes to oversized clothes because I’m petite. Often times, I end up looking like I’m drowning in the clothes and it’s just not a good look for me.
I’ve also mentioned several times before that my style is feminine and classic. The structured plaid blazer, by its design, is more masculine. And while I’ve admired other people wearing this trend from afar, I just didn’t think I could pull it off and still feel like my girly self at the same time.
My solution: turn the plaid blazer into the blazer dress! I simply rolled the sleeves, added my favourite belt, popped on a pair of over-the-knee boots and voilà, a very simple way to style the plaid blazer in a feminine way!
