Time Management

Time management is the number one thing that I struggle with. If you were to speak to anyone who knows me well, they’d tell you that I’m usually extremely organized and on top of things (I live by to-do lists and spreadsheets). But, since I started blogging, I always feel like I’m playing catch-up, rather than being ahead of the game like I used to be. Not that I’m blaming blogging; I think it’s just a natural by-product of introducing a very time-consuming thing into my life. Styling and shooting different looks, sorting through and editing photos, composing blog posts,…

A Star-Studded Brunch at Brassaii

When your pancakes and waffles come with a side of celebrity, then you know you’re in for a good brunch! I recently checked out the new brunch menu at Brassaii with some friends. Coincidentally enough, the Sunday we visited was during TIFF (totally not planned, I swear) and The Hollywood Reporter was using the restaurant as its hub to do interviews. So, while we sat and enjoyed our brunch on the patio, we got to see many celebs being escorted in and out, including Jeremy Renner (who I just missed), Felicity Jones, and Sigourney Weaver (rumour had it Pharrell Williams…

Nordstrom Gala

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last little while, you’d already know that Nordstrom has made its way to Toronto. The Toronto Eaton Centre store officially opens today and the Yorkdale store opens on October 21st. With all the amazing activation events over the last few weeks, including jam vans, fitness and beauty events, and opening galas for both the Eaton Centre and Yorkdale locations, it’s pretty hard to not have noticed all of the fanfare! Nordstrom’s also been working with influencers (including yours truly 😉 ) to spread the word. I attended the social meet-up on…

Brunch at Bar Reyna

Surprise, surprise, I got up to some more brunching – this time, at Bar Reyna, with blogger friends, Anna, Camilla, Didier, Karen, Kirsten, and Tiffany. One of the best things about brunching with lots of friends is that you can order the entire menu and share. But, if you’ve ever seen us in action when we get together, you’d know that we can create quite the commotion (bless the poor souls of all the other folks trying to enjoy their meals). Case in point: our brunch at Bar Reyna – one of the newest hot spots in Yorkville, and in my opinion, one…

Setting Sail with Bombay Sapphire

For the past few weeks, my Monday nights have consisted of ordering UberEats and watching Bachelor in Paradise with my fiancé. But last Monday, I had the privilege of setting sail with Bombay Sapphire Gin and being one of the first people to sample their new gin blend, Star of Bombay, along with an intimate group of about 100 other people (including my fellow blogger friends, The Curious Creature, Simply Teee, EatNMingle, and Hypebelly). For a couple hours, we were ‘gone with the gin’ (haha, get it?!), as we cruised around the Toronto harbour on the Tall Ship Kajama. Bombay Sapphire spared no…

STC’S New TASTE MRKT

This past weekend, I checked out Scarborough Town Centre (STC)’s newly launched #TASTEMRKT with my fiancé and some friends, including The Stylish Foodie. I grew up in Scarborough and STC is a mall that I was all too familiar with when I was a kid. I was what you’d call a “mall rat” back then because I’d spend most of my Fridays after school loitering around the mall. So, it was a pretty surreal experience to go back and see what it looks like now. The old food court is long gone and TASTE MRKT is a total (and beautiful) transformation…

10,000 Hours – Featured by Peace Collective

It’s not every day that an awesome Canadian brand that you respect and admire approaches you because they want to do a feature. So, when Peace Collective contacted me and said they thought that it was pretty cool that I was both a lawyer and a blogger at the same time and they wanted to write an article called “10,000 Hours” about me, I was actually beside myself! Sit down to interview me about my life and career…what? Photo shoot, mood board for my story – whaaatt?! Is this even real life? I have been proudly working with Peace Collective since about March of this…

Care-Free

I shot this look with Tiffany (@littleblackpearls) on a gorgeous, sunny day earlier in July. That day, on our agenda was: visiting a new coffee shop (for the coffee and the photos, of course), shooting at Sugar Beach, and then meeting some of our other blogger friends for brunch and ice cream. Coffee, shooting, brunch, ice cream – sounds like the perfect Sunday to me! Looking at the images for this blog post of me twirling and frolicking around in the sand (even though we were technically still ‘working’) makes me appreciate even more those care-free weekends when my time belonged completely…

Grey Goose Boulangerie Bleue x Jamie Kennedy

A little while back, I was invited to attend Grey Goose Canada’s Boulangerie Bleue pop-up event. I can safely say it was the event of the year! In fact, it wasn’t just an event, it was a whole experience. Boulangerie Bleue is being held in many major cities around the world, including Paris, Ibiza, New York, London, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Milan, and Madrid, to name a few, on various dates between June and September. Just peruse the many photos with the #boulangeriebleue and #flybeyond hashtags on Instagram to get a flavour for what it’s all about. The Toronto edition was held at Spoke on the Water at the Island Yacht…

Gusto 101

Consistency is key, and I think the people over at Gusto 54 Restaurant Group must have clued into that a long time ago. They’re the restaurant group that owns neighbourhood staples, like Trattoria Nervosa (which just celebrated its 20th–yes 20th!–anniversary), Gusto 101, Pai Northern Thai Kitchen, Felix in Los Angeles, and soon to be opened Chubby’s Jamaican Kitchen and Gusto 501. I can’t tell you how excited I am that another Gusto location will be opening up in my hood at 501 King St. E.! While I’ve seen many restaurants come and go in the King West, Toronto neighbourhood, Gusto 101 (located at 101 Portland St.) has been around…
